  1. Some basic help for Kamband newbies:

  3. You can use `#' (control-z in rouguelike keyset) to call your pets.
  4.  
  5. Use `O' to interact with deities -- when on an altar, this will 
  6. let you sacrifice something, otherwise it will show your current
  7. deity. You can align yourself with a deity by scarificing somthing for
  8. the first time. Beware -- deities are fickle and want frequent sacrifices.
  9.  
  10. Use `$' to mix alchemical recipes. You have a few recipes to start with,
  11. and you can get more by experimentation or reading a scroll of recipe.
  12. The recipes do not change between games.

  14. Use the `I' command to read parchments, and to see an item's material and
  15. damage status.
